From 5 to 6 p.m. tonight (Monday, September 08, 2014), Joe Little will be showing Michelle Mason's award-winning documentary, The Friendship Village, in Dunleavy 127.
Founded by American veteran George Mizo, the Friendship Village is an orphanage on the outskirts of Hanoi, Vietnam, that serves approximately 120 children with moderate to severe disabilities owing to Agent Orange exposure.
Last year, our campus fundraising group raised $1985 for the Village. This year, through the Office of International Relations, Dr. Little will be offering a 20-day Legacy of War hiking trip in Vietnam (for students, staff, faculty, and locals), which will include three days at the Village.
If you're interested in the May-June trip, please stick around after the film for a brief Q and A. Dr. Little will hand out the registration form at that time. Or, if you can't make the film but would like to be added to our Vietnam fundraising email list, please drop Dr. Little a line (jlittle@niagara.edu).
