Here's a list of "actionable goals"--things you need to do, a checklist for each month, week, year. Okay, so maybe you won't do all of these while you're a student. But it's a good idea to write down a list of things you can do in spare moments, or that you'll do at least once a month. It's either that, or graduate with "hire me!" masking taped to the top of your mortarboard.
Your list for "still in college" might include visiting the Career Counseling Center to get a better sense of what will help you (rather than looking for one-size-fits-all advice). Find them in their shiny new offices in Bailo Hall, or online at http://www.niagara.edu/career.
After all--they are the GPS (or the roadmap, if you're as old fashioned as I am) to the rest of your life once you graduate!
