This article is pitched to
folks in my generation, Boomers... exhorting us to get with the program and
start using some of the tech tools that Gen Y job-hunters all know about and
use to get an edge in the job market. Tools like:
- Excel
- Evernote
- Word processing document template
- Calendar (my favorite is Google)
What!? You aren't using
them? Or you have no clue how to apply them to job-hunting?
If your skills lean more
toward Snapchat, 4Chan and World of Warcraft, check out the article to point
you in the right direction.
If you're not very
tech-savvy, don't know where to start, and don't want to take another regular
college class, consider taking an NU Continuing Education course. Head over to http://www.niagara.edu/ce,
or pick up a paper copy in Dunleavy 103, or call 716-286-8181. You can take a
quick intro course intended for adult learners. The best part? There's no
grade!
