Okay, I won't use the F-bomb. But you know what it stands for in "F*** Off Fund." The writer presents the same story, with two very different endings, because of a slight change in strategy handling money.
It's written for women, by a woman -- but I would think that while a few of the details might differ, men could use such a fund too.
You can call it (as some of the commenters do) mad money, walking money, or even (if you want to be polite) a rainy day fund. It means that when life hands you a raw deal, you've got the option to Get Outta Dodge fast.
Denying yourself a few luxuries (just because you can buy it doesn't mean you should) can literally save your life.
