Tell Me About Yourself, Part II

Writing the Personal Statement for Law School – An Interactive Workshop

About 10% of the effort in getting into law school is the personal statement. So why have a workshop about this? Because, in largest part, the personal statement is your way to distinguish yourself from the other law school applicants. Other applicants to law school should have a relatively strong GPA and good LSAT score like you--how you distinguish yourself from the other applicants and tell your story is a way to make a real difference in your application and forge ahead in the pool of applicant. (And even if you're not going to law school--you will need to talk and write about yourself at various points in your life!)

The Pre‐Law Adviser for Niagara University, Dr. Peter J. Baxter, will present a hard‐hitting presentation:

  • Wednesday, October 8 12:15 pm
  • Dunleavy Hall Room 127

in which he will share with the Niagara community and, especially our Pre‐Law students, ways in which you can tell your story, stand apart, and the be the applicant that your preferred law schools want.

Open to the entire Niagara university--all majors, colleges and years in school. It’s never too early to think about your future!
