Palestinian Christian Perspective

A colleague in Religious Studies has shared this information with me:

"About 18 months ago, I participated on a study tour to Israel and Palestine and took two students with me. We were with an international group of students and spent two weeks touring the country. We stayed for several days in Bethlehem, in Palestine, and explored the traditional birthplace of Jesus.  We also went to Bethlehem Bible College and met its president, Rev. Alex Awad.

"Dr. Awad gave an inspiring presentation that educated us on the situation in Israel and the plight of Palestinian Christians. I have kept in touch with Rev. Awad since then. Much to our good fortune, Rev. Award and his wife Brenda have been touring the United States over the past three months giving presentations in colleges and churches and educating Americans on the Arab-Israeli conflict and the role of Palestinian Christians in the Middle East.

"We have scheduled their visit to Niagara University a week from Thursday, October 25.  The talk is entitled, "A Palestinian Christian Perspective on the Arab-Israeli Conflict" and will be held at 5:30 pm in Dunleavy 127.  I have attached a flyer with more information. I hope you can attend what promises to be a powerful cross-disciplinary presentation and encourage your students to attend as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have."
